Quintessa

This piece is quite striking.

It takes a rather alien looking being and makes them seem quite elegant and surreal in a very haunting fashion.

An interesting choice seems to have been made when it comes to the lighting and details of the piece where the light goes from brightest to darkest from the top to the bottom of the character while at the same time the detail goes from most to least distinct in the same motion.

This lends to a fascinating vision in which the more humanoid portion of the character is left to be more focused and detailed whereas the tentacles of the character below are more amorphous and shadowed.

The combination of the lighting and detail choices overall creates an interesting paradox for the character where the viewer is not quite sure if they should be comforted or afraid of the being before them who at once appears to be something familiar yet is quite definitely very alien.
