My first vector picture, done with Adobe Illustrator, I decided to try something simple and easy, I still am not too familiar with illustrator but I will learn how to use it better.
As for the picture, it's just my two characters Maya and Kyr'a (which is short for her full name Kyr'am'aran), done in the PSG style.

This is a very good start! I see a few small issues like how to close out a vector path and dealing with strokes on a line but your talent is already showing itself even at this stage. Like I tell all my students that begin their first steps into Illustrator some of the best lessons learned is to find something simple like a cartoon that you like copy and paste a fav character into it's own layer in ill. then lock that layer and trace it and match the colors in the layer above it. This is ideal practice with this program. Hit me up with questions when you run into them on how to achieve an effect and also there are a million tutorials online for how to do things in Ill. as well. Great start my friend keep em coming!

Wow, you teach students how to use Illustrator? That's awesome. And thank you so much for the feedback, I definitely need to learn about making those strokes, I used a tablet to draw them using the brush tool, but I know that using the pen tool makes more cleaner and precise lines, so I will try that out more.

Oh yeah, I was a Graphic Arts instructor for the military for 15 years and one of my students moved onto work for NASA.(so proud!) :D
Yes you need to work with the pen tool as vector is more about precision lines then paint strokes hence the tracing cartoon exercise I told you about, this will help you get used to drawing with a pen so that when you move on to do your own personal art it will be second nature to you. As with anything else practice makes perfect. :D

mmm maya es tan tierna siempre marca bien las emociones de los personajes la de kyr tambien esta bien tierna su rostro este es uno de loos mejores dibujo que haya hecho al estilo pswg
