I found an old sketch of Ahsoka that I never finished, so I thought I would make some changes to it and turn Ahsoka human, because I have seen several pictures here on DA of humanized Ahsoka, so this is my version of a human Ahsoka.
Very nice. It's fun to take a character we know so well and see her through a different set of eyes. Though, I wonder... somehow I don't think she would have made it onto the screen as a human... at least not in that outfit. A teenage human with bare midriffs on a kids' show? Oh no, it's the end of Western Civilization!!
I wonder how the dynamic would have changed if Anakin's apprentice had been human. Probably not much, honestly, except that the fans (and I) would have kept clamouring about there being too many human main characters. lol
Interesting design. The white hair looks a little unnatural, especially the eyebrows. I think if I designed her I'd do a different color hair, as Ahsoka's coloration is supposed to be natural. Making her the kind of person who dyes her hair changes her character a little, like if Ahsoka suddenly started sporting tattoos. (Which would be sweet, but I digress...)
Not to rail on your design; of course you chose to make her this way for a reason, even if just because you thought it looked good. Just throwing my two cents in and explaining why this might look "weird" to some.
Gah, I've gone and made my comment sound all negative. Well, now you see that when I said "interesting" I wasn't lying. Anyway, I really like the sortof-Padawan braid you've worked in, and the shading is lovely as always.
Yeah, I know the white hair doesn't exactly look natural, but I was just trying to make it look like her actaul head is, with the top of her head being all white and the tip of the her head tails being blue, so in my mind, those are her natural hair colors. And I tend to see a lot humanization fan art of non human character with unnatural hair color. For example I've seen human tranformers like Optimus with blue hair. But if I wanted to make her hair of a natural color, I think I could have painted her hair blonde, that would make her look more like the actress that voices her.
