Chrysalis Hive by Raikoh-illust Chrysalis Hive by Raikoh-illust
Or Changeling Hive, or however it could be called. Anyway, this is what I picture the home of the Changelings might look like, with the huge rock formation looking like the Changeling Queen's horn.

Reminds me of the mountain where canterlot once was, and if the queen did take over, this might of been what it would've looked like.

That's nice, I'm wondering if that will be made out of harden materials like those of the Zerg structures. :)

 Awesome!
It reminds me of Mount Doom from LOTR with a touch by H.R. Giger. Creepy, scary, big and awesome!
Heck I wouldn't be surprised if The Changelings were related to the Xenomorphs by any chance.

Reminds me of the shots they would do of Snake Mountain whenever they changed scenes to Skeletor in He-Man. An iconic lair is a key component to a good recurring villain! :la:

Interesting design.

Given that, unlike the other main villains of this show, the changelings were driven out rather than killed, I'm hoping they make future appearances.

Actually none of the villains were killed. Nightmare Moon was turned good again and Discord was encased in stone. Both have a chance to have future appearences, though less of a chance than the changelings, and Discord more so than Nightmare Moon. I've also heared that John DeLancie, Voice of Discord, is returning to the show, though I'm not sre if it's true.

When I say "killed" what I meant was removed from the show in such a manner that they can't come back.

Nightmare Moon was turned to Luna, so she's gone. And Discord's turned to stone, possibly for a thousand years. So there's little chance of him coming back either.

maybe, but the writters could do anything they want with their show. like they could make it so that somebody made a second Nightmare Moon, or if somebody somehow releases discord. villains always come back in TV shows even if they were actually "killed".

That, my friend, is the "unexplained recovery" trope in a nutshell.

I'm well aware of this. and I agree that the "unexplained recovery" cliche can be stupid at certain points, but I've seen quite a few that have been done right. like the many revivals of optimus prime.
